Experienced, Global Leadership
Tekton has a deep heritage in Silicon valley and is led by a multi-generational team with decades of venture capital experience. Our founding partner Vincent started Partech in 1982 and established it as the leading French and Transatlantic Venture Firm. We are a team of entrepreneurs, operators, and investors.
Vincent Worms
Co-FounderPrior to co-founding Tekton, Vincent was managing partner of Partech International, one of the largest US-European venture capital firms with offices in San Francisco, Paris, and Berlin. He is now a Partner Emeritus of the firm. He has 30 years of successful investment experience in several generations of information technologies, and served on the Board of several major enterprise software companies, including Business Objects (NASD: BOBJ), Informatica (NASD: INFA), Inquira (acquired by Oracle, ORCL) and Touch Commerce (acquired by Nuance, NUAN). Prior to Partech, Vincent has worked in the investment arm of Banque Paribas. He started his career in the French public sector, including the Ministry of Industry’s agency for technology innovation. Vincent is active in various philanthropic and cultural projects, and President of a contemporary art foundation. He holds an MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and graduated from French Ecole Polytechnique.
Nicolas El Baze
PartnerNicolas El Baze has been a global tech investor for the past 25 years. Prior to Joining Tekton, Nicolas was a General Partner at Partech, where he led the early-stage investments in the US and Southeast Asia. Many of his investments were acquired by industry leaders such as IBM, Oracle, VMware, Google, Dolby, and Databricks. Prior to becoming an investor, Nicolas spent 15 years as an entrepreneur and founded multiple companies, including Softway Systems (acq. by Microsoft) and ISDnet (acq. by Cable & Wireless). Nicolas received an MBA from HEC Paris, and is a graduate of the International Management Program from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and the University of Cologne, Germany.
Thomas Terdjman
PartnerThomas Terdjman is a global VC and impact investor with a decade of venture experience. At Tekton, he co-leads the global venture fund of funds strategy and impact investment strategy. Thomas has led 60+ investments into early stage startups and venture funds globally. He engages actively with stakeholders in impact investing, responsible AI and conscious capitalism to support mission driven founders building scalable technology companies. Prior to joining Tekton Ventures, he was working at Atos in support of the CEO of the consulting division. Thomas has a Bachelor from the London School of Economics and a Master from London Business School. He is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 23) and was formerly a professional mixed martial arts fighter.
Jai Choi
Co-founder/Managing PartnerPrior to co-founding Tekton, Jai was a Venture Partner with Partech since 2006, where he led early stage investments in the US, Asia and Latin America. Jai has over 20+ years of experience in Silicon Valley as an entrepreneur and global tech investor, having invested in 150+ startups at inception of Tekton including Coupang, Toss, Outdoorsy, Frontier Car Group, Grubmarket, Flutterwave, etc. Jai is currently a Venture Partner with Febe Ventures, a global seed stage fund, and has held partner roles at Ignite Ventures. Jai began his career at PA Consulting Group and co-founded On-Air Networks, later acquired by Loudeye, and was also an early employee at OnePage Software, acquired by Sybase. Jai is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business from the University of Southern California.
Scott Matson
Chief Financial OfficerScott has been the CFO of Tekton Ventures since its founding in 2010, managing finance, legal, and tax matters. Previously, he spent 16 years as CFO and general partner at Partech Partners, handling finance and organizational responsibilities. He began his career at Arthur Young & Company and Ernst & Young, specializing in IT company audits, and holds a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, as well as CPA certification in California
Natalie Fontana Brown
VP Finance and OperationsNatalie is Vice President of Finance and COO at Tekton Ventures, where she has worked since 2013. In addition to overseeing operations and financial planning, she serves on our impact committee, assessing the intersection of investment and philanthropy. Previously, she was an assurance auditor at Ernst & Young LLP in the Financial Service practice concentrating on hedge funds, venture capital, and private insurance clients in the Bay Area. She holds a B.S.C. in Accounting from Santa Clara University and remains actively involved in its alumni network and her local Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae Chapter.
